PRESCHOOL LEAD TEACHER

Qualified candidates for the Lead Preschool Teacher position possess a minimum of two years of experience working with children ages 2 to 5 years in a quality, licensed childcare facility, plus a minimum of twelve core ECE units (BA preferred) from an accredited institution plus 3 units in supervision or willing to enroll. We are looking for a professional with leadership qualities who has experience mentoring Teacher's Aides, volunteers, and/or interns. The right candidate is full of joy, enthusiasm, creativity, is an excellent team player and thrives on developing nature-based activities.
 

PRESCHOOL TEACHER

Qualified candidates for the Preschool Teacher position possess a minimum of six months of experience working with children ages 2 to 5 years in a quality, licensed childcare facility, plus twelve core ECE units from an accredited institution (some Child Development or Education Units accepted). The right candidate understands and is ready to implement play-based activities, is excited about children learning outdoors, and is an excellent team player full of joy! (Infant/toddler units especially helpful for candidates seeking Substitute Teacher position.)
 

ENRICHMENT SPECIALIST/ROVER TEACHER

Qualified candidates for the Enrichment Specialist/Rover Teacher position possess a minimum of six months of experience working with infants through 5 years in a quality, licensed childcare facility, plus twelve core ECE units from an accredited institution (some Child Development or Education Units accepted), three units of which must be in infant/toddler care or willing to enroll. The right candidate is flexible, energetic, proactive, and loves a dynamic environment.  We are looking for someone who possesses the ability to offer activities including: gardening, nature exploration, music, dance, physical education, art, and science on a weekly rotational basis to children. These activities are offered to children in addition to other activities/programs offered by on-site teaching staff. This is also an on-site sub position, so candidates should feel comfortable taking a class of children when needed. This is a highly flexible and creative position, as we leave the curriculum planning/choices to the person in this position, so being proactive is a must.
 

ROVER TEACHER'S AIDE

Qualified candidates for the Rover Teacher's Aide position possess at least six months of experience working with infants through 5 years in a quality, licensed childcare facility, plus three ECE units from an accredited institution and willing to enroll in additional ECE units (some Child Development or Education Units accepted).
 

INFANT or TODDLER TEACHER

Qualified candidates for the Infant or Toddler Teacher position possess a minimum of six months of experience working with children birth through 2 years in a quality, licensed childcare facility, plus twelve core ECE units from an accredited institution (some Child Development or Education Units accepted). Three of the twelve units must be in infant/toddler care. If seeking a Lead Teacher position, a minimum of two years of experience and a BA in Child Development is preferred plus 3 units in supervision or willing to enroll. To be considered for a Lead Teacher position, candidates must have one to two year's experience and possess leadership qualities.
 

ASSOCIATE TEACHER (Infant or Preschool)

Qualified candidates for the Associate Teacher position possess a minimum of six months of experience working with children ages 2 to 5 years (for our preschool) and/or infants through 2 years (for our infant/toddler program) in a quality, licensed childcare facility, plus six core ECE units from an accredited institution (some Child Development or Education Units accepted) and be continuously enrolled until twelve units are completed. If working in our infant/toddler program, three units must be in infant/toddler care or willing to enroll. The right candidate understands and is ready to implement play-based activities, is excited about children learning outdoors, and is an excellent team player full of joy!

TEACHER'S AIDE (Infant or Preschool)

Qualified candidates for the Teacher's Aide position possess experience working with children under 5 years of age in a quality, licensed childcare facility, plus a minimum of three ECE units from an accredited institution and willing to enroll in additional ECE units if needed (some Child Development or Education Units accepted). Three units must be in infant/toddler care or willing to enroll if seeking employment in the Infant Center.

Staff development 2014Beyond the above-mentioned qualifications, we are looking for people who will bring an amazing heart and devotion to working with young children and be dedicated to partnering with families. The right candidates LOVE children and are energetic, motivated, understand and desire the team-teaching approach, are flexible, creative, and know the value of children learning outdoors. Since our staff is a "family," the right person for any position will also possess the ability to interact and work well with adults and on a team, take direction, be proactive, be a creative, outside-the-box thinker, joyful, energetic, and have a "can-do" attitude. We offer extensive mentoring at Hope 4 Kids as we believe in investing our resources into creating fully-qualified and highly trained individuals in the field of Early Childhood Education. Candidates who have experience and enjoy working with children outside are especially qualified for our program.
 
We are looking for candidates who are organized and appreciate a clean work environment. We believe in quality care and education for young children. We have a very sweet staff who give above and beyond because we love our program and families. We have a Zero Tolerance Drug/Alcohol Policy and require a pre-employment drug/alcohol test, plus a fingerprint, Child Abuse Index, TB, and health clearance prior to employment.
